The wireless ergoFET family of products was inspired by an ergonomic specialist at General Electric Company. He originally used a microFET2 to measure the force needed to manipulate parts and products for the company. The microFET2 was effective in measuring push force, but GE reported they also needed to measure pull force. The ergoFET Push & Pull Gauge was designed and launched into the ergonomic market. The other products in the ergoFET line are designed to fulfill a need in taking other measurements in ergonomic applications.

The University of Utah and the University of Michigan use the technology behind the ergoFET Push & Pull Gauge to gather research data. Major corporations in automotive, aerospace, and consumer product industries also apply this technology to their ergonomic applications.

ergoFET Push & Pull Force Gauge: This dynamometer measures push & pull forces from multiple directions simultaneously, so the slightest tip of the transducer does not affect test results. The hand-held design makes testing easier, and more closely simulates actual job tasks. The measurement results lead to improved product functionality, quality, and manufacturing efficiency, while reducing costs associated with cycle time and repetitive motion injuries. This gauge can measure force up to 300 pounds.

ergoFET 500 Two-Handed Push & Pull Force Gauge: This dynamometer is designed for a wide variety of force measurement applications. It measures peak force where the average force is not timed, and when a timed 3-second average force is required. The wireless ergoFET500 is excellent for job site and ergonomic analysis, NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) whole body or job specific static strength testing, or for any force measurement at the job site or in the clinic. This gauge measures force up to 500 pounds.

ergoGLOVE: The ergoGLOVE Force Sensing Resistors are thin film sensors that measure localized pressure points on the hand. It can be used as a standalone testing system or used simultaneously with other ergoPAK sensors. The ergoGLOVE can be used with the mechanics gloves or finger cots provided, latex or other gloves, and can also adhere directly to the skin or other surfaces.

ergoPAK (Portable Analysis Kit): An essential kit providing the tools needed to measure, test, and analyze force, angle and velocity. It is flexible and unobtrusive; essential requirements for accurate, "real world" testing applications. The wireless Radio Frequency allows easy mobility and will capture data within a 100 foot radius. The interface device Hub has eight ports so you can test with many combinations of ergoPAK measuring devices. Sensors to measure torque can be purchased separately and sensors to measure vibration will be available soon.
